Please be advised of a regular Kalkaska DDA Board Meeting scheduled for Tuesday, June 2, 2020 at 5:00 p.m. will be held via Zoom Video Conference. Due to the Governor’s Executive Orders in response to the Coronavirus Pandemic, all Board members will be participating remotely.

The meeting will be held via Zoom for public attendance and participation purposes. Public Comments may be made during the Public Comment section of the Agenda during the meeting. Comments may also be e-mailed to the Kalkaska DDA ([email protected]) both before and during the meeting.

Kalkaska Planning Commission

Petition to Amend the Zoning Ordinance

June 4, 2020

PLEASE TAKE NOTE that the Village of Kalkaska Planning Commission will hold a public hearing on a Petition to Amend the Zoning Ordinance submitted by Jon Hoggard and Susi Hiller on Thursday, June 4, 2020 at 6:00 P.M. in the Village Office located at 200 Hyde Street, Kalkaska, Michigan 49646. However, due to Governor’s Executive Orders in response to the Coronavirus Pandemic, all Planning Commissioners will be participating remotely.

The proposed amendment is to re-zone the following properties from Residential to Industrial:

041-735-004-00 (601 Hyde St.)

041-735-002-00 (307 S. Essex St.)

041-735-019-00 (No Address Set)

A copy of the proposed zoning ordinance amendment may be viewed on the Village website at www.kalkaskavillage.com (see below). Written comments may be sent to the Village of Kalkaska Clerk at the above address before the public hearing. The meeting will be livestreamed on the Village of Kalkaska Facebook Page for public attendance and participation purposes. Public Comments may be made here. Planning and Zoning Commission Vacancy

The Village of Kalkaska's Planning Commission is seeking a community-oriented individual to fill a vacant seat on the Commission. Responsibilities of Planning Commissioner include: development of Village Master Plan and Recreation Plan; recommendation of ordinances, amendments to existing ordinances, zoning changes and site plan developments; and general advisement to Council in regard to the proper physical development of the Village of Kalkaska. This vacancy must be filled by a Village resident. Interested parties please inquire at the Village Office, located at 200 Hyde Street, or call 231-258-9191.
