Planning Commission Vacancies

The Village of Kalkaska's Planning Commission is seeking community-oriented individuals to fill four vacant seats on the Commission. Responsibilities of Planning Commissioner include: development of Village Master Plan and Recreation Plan; recommendation of ordinances, amendments to existing ordinances, zoning changes and site plan developments; and general advisement to Council in regard to the proper physical development of the Village of Kalkaska. Three of these available seats must be filled by Village residents. Interested parties please inquire at the Village Office, located at 200 Hyde Street, or call 231-258-9191. Applications will be accepted until March 23, 2018.

Please be advised of a Village Nominations Committee meeting being held on Tuesday, March 20, 2018 at 5:00 p.m. at the Village Office located at 200 Hyde Street, Kalkaska, MI 49646 to review applications for a vacant Trustee position on the Village Council.

Personnel Committee Meeting March 21, 2018

Please be advised of a Village Personnel Committee meeting being held on Wednesday, March 21, 2018 at 4:30 p.m. at the Village Offices located at 200 Hyde Street, Kalkaska, MI 49646 for USW Contract negotiations (possible Closed Session per Section 15.268c of the Open Meetings Act for Negotiation of a Collective Bargaining Agreement), and to discuss current and future accrual and use of compensatory time for POLC and USW Union employees.
